Yangsook is available for author visits for any age level, and talks at literary festivals and educational conferences. She has spoken and lectured within US, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, and Cambodia. Her presentation can be adjusted to suit the needs of any audience from a large assembly to a small group.

How a Picture Book is Created Author takes the audience through the creative process of The Name Jar book making : the power of imagination, getting an idea, writing, storyboarding, and illustrating. This can lead into a name game play, or designing a name stamp workshop.
Young Writers Workshop This workshop provides the practical grounding as students go through the basic stages of writing process from raw inspiration to finishing a chapter for a chapter book. A fun activity is included for plot development and building up a story structure.
Young Artists Workshop A special hands-on workshop where students participate in an interactive visual storytelling game, create a storyboard, and illustrate a scene from it.

A D U L T P R O G R A M S for Writers and Artists
Writing for Children in a Child’s Voice Write a children’s book by increasing the imagination to go back to being the child you were. This workshop will cover all phases of children’s book writing from initial conceptualization, rewriting by maintaining focus and developing style.
Storyboarding Workshop Children respond more strongly to images than words, whether it's in picture books or graphic novels. This workshop focuses on the art of visual storytelling in pagination, sequence, composition, and atmosphere to lead and engage young readers most effectively.
